Is the Fun1 UK-road-legal out of the box?
Yes, when used as an EAPC: pedal-assist only with a 25 km/h (15.5 mph) limit and a motor rated at 250 W continuous. Any throttle use or unlocking for higher speeds is for private land only.
What real-world range should I expect?
Typically 14–25 miles (25–40 km) per charge, depending on rider weight, terrain, temperature, tyre pressure and assist level. Riding in lower PAS levels and keeping tyres correctly inflated will maximise range.
How fast does it go, and can I unlock it?
Factory limit is 25 km/h for road use. You can unlock up to ≈32 km/h for private property. Keep it limited on public roads to comply with EAPC rules.
What’s the rider weight and height guidance?
Recommended rider height is 155–190 cm. The bike is rated to 100 kg for best performance and comfort; experienced riders can exceed this, but acceleration, range and braking distances will be affected.
Is the battery removable and lockable?
Yes. The seatpost-area battery lifts out for charging off the bike and locks in place with the supplied keys. You can also charge it on the bike if you prefer.
How long does charging take?
Around 4–5 hours from low to full using the included 42 V/2 A charger.
Can I ride it in the rain?
The bike is IP54 water-resistant: fine for showers and road spray, but not for submersion or pressure-washing. Wipe down and dry the contacts after wet rides.

Top up after rides instead of deep-cycling, avoid extreme heat/cold, and store around 30–60% charge if unused for weeks. Charge in a dry, monitored area and use only the supplied charger.
What about hills, how well does it climb?
Expect confident starts on gentle to moderate grades with pedal assist. On very steep hills, drop to a low gear, add more rider input and use higher PAS levels to maintain cadence.
What maintenance should I plan for?
Keep tyres at the recommended PSI, lube the chain every 150–200 km, and check mechanical disc-brake pad wear regularly, replace pads when the friction material is <1 mm for safe stopping.
Can I fit a child seat or carry cargo?
Yes, there’s a rear rack (rated up to ~25 kg) and an optional front basket. For child seats, choose rack-mount models that match the rack’s rating and follow the seat manufacturer’s guidance.
